The Mental Health Act Amendment Act (No.2) 1962 (Act No.29/1962) commenced on 25 October 1962. Its long title is 'An
Act to amend the Mental Health Act, 1935-1961. It makes provisions for the appointment and powers of authorisation of a Director of Mental Health, to be appointed in accordance with the Public Service Act, 1936-1959.
