This is a collection of audio interviews with Forgotten Australians and Former Child Migrants. Interviewing commenced in 2009 and the project was officially launched in November 2012. The digital master is held in the National Library of Australia, Oral History and Folklore collection, and a selection of the audio recordings are available online.

The National Library of Australia Forgotten Australians and Former Child Migrants Oral History Project was established in response to the recommendations of two Senate Community Affairs References Committee reports Lost Innocents: Righting the Record - Report on Child Migration (August 2001) and Forgotten Australians - A report on Australians who experienced institutional or out-of-home care as children (August 2004).
