Industrial and Reformatory Schools Act 1893, 13 January 1893, courtesy of State Law Publisher of Western Australia.
The 'Industrial and Reformatory Schools Act 1893' raised the age of a child from 14 to 16 years and created separate institutions for 'neglected' and 'convicted' children. In practice, reformatory and industrial schools could be the same institution, or on the same grounds.
