The Wandering Mission Sacramental Registers comprise a Baptism Register, 1948-1981, and a Confirmation Register, 1950-1973. The information in both registers includes the child's name, parents' names, the name of a sponsor and age information.
People wishing to access their own baptism or confirmation records between these dates are able to do so through an application form, which is available on the website, by email or post from the Archives of the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth.
Baptism Register, December 1948 - July 1981
Includes: Child's full name; parents' names; name of baptising priest; name of sponsor/s; child's date of birth and date of baptism.
While not consistently added it sometimes also includes an issuing of baptism certificate, confirmation date and marriage date.
Confirmation Register, December 1950 - November 1973
Includes: Child's surname and first name; confirmation name; parents' names; name of sponsor; name of confirming Bishop Archbishop or Vicar General; age at confirmation and date of confirmation.
