The Ministering Children's League (MCL) began in Western Australia in 1891. The MCL was 'non-sectarian' and included adult and child members, in the belief that children should do 'good deeds' on behalf of those less fortunate. The MCL was active in fundraising for children's homes in WA. The MCL was dissolved in 1957 and donated its accumulated funds to the Slow Learning Children's Group.
The Ministering Children's League (MCL) was initiated in WA by Mrs HD Holmes in 1891, and was supported by a range of people with an interest in child and social welfare issues. The MCL was active in fundraising and other support activities for children's homes. When the MCL dissolved in 1957 it became the Ministering League of the Anglican Church.
