Swanleigh in Middle Swan was the new name given in early 1960 to Swan Homes. It was a hostel for country children attending high school in the city. In 2010 Swanleigh became a conference and camp facility.

When Swanleigh was established as a hostel in 1960, it was responsible to the Country High School Hostels Authority, State of Western Australia.
Merredin Residential College (1954 - )
Two Wardens at Merredin Residential College (1954 - ) had previously worked at Swanleigh , one as Deputy Director.
Narrogin Residential College (1963 - )
The alleged perpetrator of sexual abuse of a child at Narrogin Residential College in 1990 had previously worked at Swanleigh as documented in Special Inquiry into St Andrew's Hostel, Katanning on 20 June 2012.
Seaside House, Coogee (1931 - 1968)
Seaside House, Coogee was run as a branch of Swanleigh. Annual summer holidays at Coogee for children from Swanleigh continued until Coogee closed, and the children there were transferred to Swanleigh.
