The Working with Children (Criminal Record Checking) Regulations 2005 commenced on 1 January 2006. These regulations support the operation of the Working with Children (Criminal Record Checking) Act 2004 (WA). The regulations include descriptions of the type of work that is (and is not) covered by that Act and the type of offences that may prevent people from gaining permission to work with children.
