See pp.888-892. Maternity Homes in Western Australia were licensed and regulated under the provisions of The Health Act 1911. These regulations, which include the requirements for record-keeping, building standards, care of patients and notifications were published in the Government Gazette. The gazette also shows the forms that were required for applying for a license, recording the details of patients and births. In the 1944 regulations, there are references to other gazetted information relating to the conduct and regulation of maternity homes in previous years.
