'Address-in-reply' is an excerpt from the digital copies of the Parliamentary Debates (Hansard) of the Legislative Council of the Western Australian Parliament. It documents remarks about the evidence submitted to the Royal Commission appointed to Inquire into the Care and Reform of Youthful Delinquents in 1943. There is a description (pp.135-136) of the Roe Street Lock-Up, where young male offenders were held pending trial, and praise (p.136) for the work undertaken at the Home of the Good Shepherd, Bindoon, and the Salvation Army's Seaforth Home, and Barton's Mill Prison.
