This long article gives a description of the Government Receiving Home in Mt Lawley, Western Australia. There are photos of a baby, a group of three sisters, and a large group of children on a see-saw in the playground. The reasons why children have come into 'care' are given in the language and with the values of the time (1935). Fostering and adoption are also discussed.
