The Sunday Times reported in 1947 that [Native Affairs Minister Ross] McDonald said that there was a lot of interest shown in an exhibition of drawings by children from Carrolup. All the pictures were sold, raising a total of £74. This would be worth $4,430 in 2011. The Minister said this money would be spent 'in the interests of the children.'
The excellent drawings by children at Carrolup (Marribank) were reported in the newspaper in Perth.
