Adoption Files of Defunct Adoption Agencies is an archival series held by the Department of Health and Human Services. It comprises records created by as many as 30 different adoption agencies that were in operation at different times in Victoria. This series was created when the Adoption Information Service was established in 1985, and it gathered together the records of various former adoption agencies.
