The records and memorabilia of a number of children's Homes run by the Salvation Army in its Australian Southern Territory are held at the Salvation Army Heritage Centre in Melbourne, also known as the Salvation Army Archives and Museum.
The Heritage Centre does not hold the personal files of former residents.
The Heritage Centre does have historical information about many of the Homes operated by the Salvation Army in Victoria, including the East Camberwell Girls' Home (William Booth Girls' Home), the East Kew Girls' Home (Catherine Booth Girls' Home), the Bayswater Boys' Home, the Box Hill Boy's Home, Kardinia Children's Home, The Haven Maternity Hospital, and the Gill Men's Hostel.
It also holds some material from Homes that operated in other states that are also part of the Salvation Army Southern Territory (South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia).
