The Maintenance Act 1942 with the full title "An Act to amend the 'Maintenance Act 1921'"(Act no.6 Geo. VI No.10) amends the Maintenance Act 1921 to presume that any man serving in the military who does not attend a court summons relating to maintenance has sworn under oath that he is not the father of the child in question. This act was repealed by Statute Law Revision Act 1958 (No.36) on 24 July 1958.
