The Statutes Amendment (Children's Protection) Act 2009 (Act No.78/2009) was passed on 10 December 2009 and commenced 1 August 2010. The Act amended the Children's Protection Act 1993, the Criminal Law (Sentencing) Act 1988 and the Summary Procedure Act 1921.
