The Statutes Repeal and Amendment (Children's Protection and Young Offenders) Act 1993 (Act No.94/1993) was passed on 4 November 1993 and commenced 1 January 1994. It replaced the Children's Protection and Young Offenders Act 1979. The Act was made to restructure the juvenile and children's protection systems in the State of South Australia.
