The Guardianship and Administration Act 1993 (Act No.61/1993) was passed on 27 May 1993 and commenced 6 March 1995. Its long title is 'An Act to provide for the guardianship of persons unable to look after their own health, safety or welfare or to manage their own affairs and for the management of the estates of such persons; and for other purposes'.
