The Children's Institution Subsidies Act 1961 (Act No.22/1961) was passed and commenced 9 November 1961. Its long title was 'An Act to provide for the granting of financial aid to certain persons, institutions and authorities for the purpose of assisting them to provide, acquire or construct buildings and equipment for the accommodation, care and training of children in need'. The Principal Act was repealed by the Maintenance Act Amendment Act 1965 on 27 January 1966.
