The Masters and Servants Act 1849 (12 &13 Vic., 1849 No.5) was assented to and commenced on 1 August 1849. Full title: Ordinance Enacted by the Governor of South Australia, with the Advice and Consent of the Legislative Council thereof to Amend an Ordinance (No 9 of 1847) 'To amend the Laws relating to Masters and Servants'. It was repealed by the Masters and Servants Act 1863 on 12 November 1863.
