Ru Rua Nursing Home opened in North Adelaide in 1978. It provided convalescent care for children and adults. In 1981 Estcourt House at Grange was renovated. When children were moved to the upgraded premises from North Adelaide, Estcourt House became known as the Ru Rua Nursing Home. Ru Rua Nursing Home closed in 1989.
