The Salvation Army Australia Southern Territory Territorial Archives and Museum, Melbourne has an electronic database index to articles in The Salvation Army magazine, War Cry. It includes articles relating to Barton Vale Girls Home, McBride Maternity Hospital, the Salvation Army Boys Home, Mount Barker, Kent Town Boys Home and Fullarton Girls Home. They concern historical background, general activities, staff movements and building developments. Articles often include photographs.
The Salvation Army Australia Southern Territory Territorial Archives and Museum, also known as the Heritage Centre, is open to the public. Some records may be restricted under privacy legislation or as a result of conditions placed by donors of material. Some material may be considered by the Archivist to be too frail for handling.
