The Adoption of Children Act 1966/7 (Act no. 12/1967) was asssented to on 6 April 1967 and commenced on 2 November 1967.
Its long title was 'An Act to Consolidate and Amend the law relating to the Adoption of Children and for purposes connected therewith; and to repeal the Adoption of Children Act, 1925-1965'.
Replaced previous adoption legislation. It was repealed by Adoption Act 1988 on 17 August 1989.
This act had several amendments: Amended by Act No.15/1971, Act No.89/1975, Act No.65/1976, Act No.29/1978, Act No.79/1980
