Morada Cottage at Somerton Park was opened by the government in 1975. It was one of five independent cottages opened at the former site of Seaforth Home. Morada Cottage was closed in 1979.
Morada Cottage at Somerton Park was opened by the Department of Community Welfare on 10 February 1975. It was one of five independent cottages that opened on the Somerton Park site of Seaforth Home after its closure. These included three new cottages, Kandarik, Tintoo and Morada Cottages. Two cottages formerly at Glandore Boys' Home, Slade Cottage and Reception Cottage, were also relocated to the site of the former Seaforth Home at Somerton Park.
After operating for only four years, Morada Cottage was closed on 3 March 1979.
