This act with the full title "An Act to amend particular Acts to increase child safety, and for other purposes" (Act no.13/2004) aimed to implement the recommendations from the Crime and Misconduct Commissions report Protecting Children: An Inquiry into Abuse of Children in Foster Care. Because this amendment is in response to a wide reaching report, it amends multiple principle acts that relate to children and young people. This act was repealed by Acts Interpretation Act 1945 (s.22C) on 2 September 2004.
