This amendment with the full title "An Act to Amend "The Aboriginals Protection and Restriction of the Sale of Opium Acts 1897 to 1901" in a certain particular" (Act no. 18 Geo.V. No.24) dated 1927 and commencing on the 7th of January 1928. This act empowered the Governor to set aside Queensland territorial waters for use solei by Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander Australians. The amendment also sets out penalties for breaches of this ruling. This amendment was repealed along with the principle act it amends Aboriginals Protection and Restriction of the Sale of Opium Act 1897(Act no. 61 Vic. No.17) in 1939 by the Aboriginals Preservation and Protection Act 1939 (Act no. 3 Geo. VI No.6).
