This amendment with the full title "An Act to Amend "The Aboriginals Protection and Restriction of the Sale of Opium Act 1897" in certain particulars" (Act no. 19 Geo. V. No.20) dated 1928 amends the Aboriginals Protection and Restriction of the Sale of Opium Act 1897 (Act no. 61 Vic. No. 17). This amendment act was repealed along with the 1897 Protection and Restriction of the Sale of Opium Act in 1939 by the Aboriginals Preservation and Protection Act 1939 (3 Geo.VI No.6). This amendment altered the penalty for breaches against the act by people classified as having mixed heritage that included Indigenous and Non-Indigenous descendants.
