An Act to Amend the "Industrial and Reformatory Schools Act of 1865" (Act no. 6 Edw. VII No.6),passed on the 19 October 1906. This act amends the 1865 Industrial and Reformatory Schools Act (Act no. 8/1865 29 Vic No.8). The key purpose of this amendment was to extend the classification of a child from someone under the age of 15 to under the age of 17, extending the application of the primary act to include people who where 15 - 17 years old. This amendment along with the primary act it affects was repealed by the State Children Act 1911 on 30th of November 1911.
