The Sisters of the Good Shepherd arrived in Australia in 1863 and opened facilities for female juvenile offenders and poor and homeless women in all states in Australia. The first home they ran in Queensland was the Good Shepherd Home for Girls from 1930. The Good Shepherd Archives is located in Melbourne, the collection includes records relating to Homes run by the Sisters.
