Buxton Lodge, in Redcliffe, was operated by Save the Children Fund Queensland. It
opened on 16 February 1980. Buxton Lodge provided support and accommodation for young girls ranging in age from 12 to 16, who were in the care of the Department of Children's Services. Buxton Lodge closed 31 January 1983.

Originally located in Irene St, Buxton Lodge moved to John Street, Redcliffe, on 29 August 1982.

Buxton Lodge's license was approved on 4 July 1980 and issued 3 September 1980.

In Missing Pieces (2001), Save the Children stated that they hold no records relating to former residents of Buxton Lodge.
