Tambling House opened in 1970 as a government residential home for children at Myilly Point in Darwin. It accommodated both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal children who were under the care of government. Tambling House closed in 1975 and was re-opened in 1977 as Tambling House Family Home.

Details

Tambling House was opened the Welfare Branch of the Northern Territory Administration in 1970. It was located on Kahlin Crescent, Myilly Point and operated as a government residential home for children. It accommodated both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal children who were under the care of Welfare Branch. Tambling House closed in 1975 and was re-opened in 1977 as Tambling House Family Home.
