Alternative Names

Communicare Sydney, which began in 1982, was the new name for the Sydney Rescue Work Society. It was a Christian non-government service that was a provider of child care services, including long day care centres, pre-schools, family day care and OOSH centres. It ran many of its services in the same buildings used by former institutions founded by the Sydney Rescue Work Society. In 2011 it was renamed as Integricare.

Details

The Sydney Rescue Work Society's adoption and hospital records have been transferred to New South Wales Health and the Sydney Royal Hospital for Women. However, Communicare retained some records of the Sydney Rescue Work Society, and maintained a relationship with the Society for Providing Homes for Neglected Children.

In 2011 Communicare changed its name to Integricare.
