Dr Barnardos in Australia was the new name given in 1966 to Dr Barnardos Homes (Australia Branch). In the Australian Capital Territory, Dr Barnados ran Berwick House in Curtin and Barnardos House in Downer, which from 1978 were replaced by Barnardos Children's Family Centre. Around 1995, Dr Barnardos in Australia changed its name to Barnardos Australia.
