In this interview, Yoonthalla Close discusses her identity as a Wiradjuri woman, her family background, and the Stolen Generation. She also discusses her experience of being taken from her family and separated from her siblings, and her time spent in the Far West Children's Home at Manly, Arncliffe Girls' Home (The Nest), Bidura Children's Home, and Parramatta Girls' Training School. She talks about the ongoing impact of her experience in 'care', her drive to help others, and her ongoing work and advocacy in the disability sector.
