Description
A blog post outlining the history of 'Dappeto', built in 1885 by Frederick Gibbins, who was the father of the Christina Stead's stepmother Ada . When Gibbins died in 1917 the Salvation Army acquired the house and converted it to a girls' home and children's home. In 1969 the house was restored and became an aged care home.
