This item from The Perth Gazette and Western Australian Journal. It is a letter to the editor. It is about Francis Armstrong, who was the 'native interpreter' for the colony. The writer questioned the need for a native interpreter, and expressed his displeasure that Armstrong was stationed in Perth at the Mount Eliza Native Institution rather than out in the bush helping the colonists.
