Description
Convalescent servicewomen at present accommodated at Berida Red Cross Home, Bowral, will be moved to another Red Cross home when it is available. The donor of Berida, Dr Jessie Freeman, and some members of the local women's committee have protested against the use of the home by servicewomen.
The chairman of the New South Wales division of the Red Cross, Mr W. E. Johnson, said last night that the home had been given unconditionally, although the donor had expressed a wish that it should be used for servicemen on long-term treatment.
