Description
The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) prepared the document 'Answers to Questions on Notice' for the Senate inquiry into Commonwealth Contribution to Former Forced Adoptions Policies and Practices. This document outlines historical information about the Commonwealth social security payments available to unmarried mothers and other groups at different periods of time.

The Department also provided digital copies of historical documents which are available as Attachments A through F. These attachments contain further information about Commonwealth social service benefits and programs relevant to single mothers and other parents.
