Article about Mrs J Lapish, mother of ten, who was Lady Mayoress of Ashfield at the age of 79. She had 30 years service with the Ashfield Benevolent Society and was its president; had been president of Milleewa Boys' Home for 13 years and served on the committees of the Crippled Children's League, Ashfield Infants' Home and Western Suburbs Hospital.
