Marella: The Hidden Mission was a multi-faceted exhibition, education, public events project and publication that examined a particular story in the shameful history of the policies and practice of the removal of Aboriginal children to the Marella Aboriginal Mission Farm. It was first exhibited at the Penrith Regional Gallery, and also travelled to Moree and Cowra. The catalogue contains essays from the co-curators of the exhibition, statements, testimonies, and images of Marella residents, and statements and images of works from artists involved with the exhibition.
