Description
At the time this report was written, Western Australia was the only State without a broad, formal system for the mandatory reporting of child abuse. This report outlined the results of a study into Australian and international systems and included a review of literature and consultation with a wide range of stakeholders. The report found that the evidential basis for mandatory reporting as a mechanism to prevent child abuse was weak.
