Description
'Child Welfare Department. As to Controlling Authority' is an excerpt from the digital copies of the Parliamentary Debates (Hansard) of the Legislative Assembly of the Western Australian Parliament. The Premier explained that a Director had been appointed to the Child Welfare Department (CWD) to be 'in charge of the child welfare activities'. The Secretary of the CWD would be 'in charge of the administrative work'. See page 782 of the excerpt.
