The Nedlands History contains information and images relating to the Salvation Army's Nedlands (West Subiaco) Boys' Home and the Hollywood Children's Village. It also includes a document, 'Sample Letter to DCS offices'. This undated letter advised the Department for Community Services that the Hollywood Children's Village was going to close, that the children currently in residence would be gradually relocated and that no more admissions to the Village or assessments of children would be made from 18 May 1990.
We do not currently have any records linked to this organisation, but records may exist. The Find & Connect Support Service can help people who lived in orphanages and children's institutions look for their records.
