Part VI of the Adoption of Children Act 1988 made information on adoptions arranged by the Catholic Private Adoption Agency available to all parties connected with them.
In 2013, Centacare's adoption services include support to relinquishing parents, adoptive parents, and people who have been adopted. Through the Adoption Information Service, run by the Department of Health and Human Services, Centacare provides information and makes links between relinquishing parents and adoptees. Centacare also runs Annie Kenny Young Women's Refuge.
Centacare holds a few records relevant to former Catholic homes in Tasmania.
