The Brisbane Special Hospital, situated at Wacol, Queensland, was a State run facility. The Brisbane Special Hospital was previously known as the Brisbane Mental Hospital. It is known that children who were wards of the state were placed at the Brisbane Special Hospital during the 1960s.
