This collection is partly restricted and permission from Uniting Church Frontier Services may be required to access some later records. State Library staff can assist you with information about access to these records a finding aid is available in the Library.
The Records of the Australian Inland Mission and the Uniting Church Frontier Service Collection is very large and comprises a wide range of records relating to all of the activities of the AIM and its successor, Frontier Services. The records include administrative records, minutes of meetings, correspondence and financial records and other files, some of which are related to the Australian Inland Mission Hostel in Alice Springs.
The collection also includes diaries, registers, press cuttings, photographs, glass slides, maps, leaflets, booklets and public relations material.
There are more records about the Australian Inland Mission at the National Library of Australia than are in this collection. The Australian Inland Mission collection comprises a number of manuscript collections, as well as photographs and oral history interviews.
