The Lutheran Archives, based in Bowden, South Australia, is the official repository of historical material relating to the activities of the Lutheran Church of Australia, including missionary activities in the Northern Territory. The Archives holds record of the present Lutheran Church as well as records of earlier Lutheran synods in Australia. These synods amalgamated to form the present day church.

Access Conditions
Most records are available for inspection. Some records have closed or restricted access. Some private records that are less than 30 years old may not be open for research without written premission.
Fees: Individual research $15 per half day, concession $10 per half day. Short visit (less than one hour) $7.50. Archives Staff research (eg written enquiries) $60 per hour.
Photocopying at 40 cents per A4 page.
