Iandra Lodge accepted boys on referral from a range of sources, including church agencies, statutory authorities and Children's Courts, the majority being young people suffering significant disadvantage or deprivation.
Iandra Lodge continued under the auspice of the Uniting Church Board of Social Responsibility following the inauguration of the Uniting Church in Australia in 1977, but was closed down by Gordon Trickett when he became head of the Uniting Church Board of Social Responsibility. Iandra was converted into a facility for adults.
