  • Holiday Home – Holiday Homes provided short-term accommodation for children.
  • Holiday Hosts – Holiday Hosts were people in the community who accommodated children from institutions for short periods.
  • Homefinder – Homefinder was a term used in New South Wales for a person who worked to find places for children who needed foster parents or apprenticeships.
  • Homemaker Service - Tasmania – The Homemaker Service in Tasmania from 1976 worked with families in crisis on a short term basis.
  • Hostel – Hostels generally accommodated young people aged 15 and over as they transitioned to paid employment and independent living.
