The Young Single Women’s Refuge was established in Mount Lawley around 1980 by The Collective. It was a 24-hour refuge service, located in a three-bedroom house. Young women were admitted. The service closed in 1991.
The Young Single Women’s Refuge was established in a three-bedroom house in Mount Lawley in the early 1980s by The Collective. It was a refuge service, funded for some years through the Youth Supported Accommodation Program, which was a sub-program of the Commonwealth/State funded Supported Accommodation Assistance Program. It closed in 1991.
