Warminda Bail Hostel, in Welshpool, was run by the Ministry of Justice from 1993 to 1994 for young people (Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal) on bail from the courts. Previously, it had been a hostel run by the departments responsible for child welfare. Warminda Bail Hostel closed at the end of September 1994. From 1997, the premises were used to deliver the Warminda Intensive Intervention Centre non-residential program for young offenders.
